About Alecia
Helping people reach their nutrition goals
Alecia Routt is a Registered Dietitian with a private practice based in San Diego, California.
In addition to the RD credential, she has received advanced training in adverse food reactions and has completed a certification course (Certified LEAP Therapist-CLT) that provides a much deeper understanding of how to manage the dietary component of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Migrane and many other conditions where food sensitivities play a role. She has also been certified by the American Dietetic Association in Weight Management.
Because research is quickly advancing in the nutrition field, Alecia finds it crucial to stay current by attending annual nutrition conferences (including Scripps Integrative Medicine’s Natural Supplement symposium and The Institute of Functional Medicine’s educational opportunities) and by reading up to date research and periodicals. She belongs to the American Dietetic Association’s professional practice groups for Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine, Weight Management and Nutrition Entrepreneurs. She supports the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) and provides clients with information consistent with their research-based recommendations for cancer prevention. In addition to nutrition counseling, she has experience consulting for clinical trials, the local news as well as national and local health publications.
What she enjoys most about working in private practice is seeing her clients achieve success in reaching their health and nutrition goals and the benefits they reap from working together.
